Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the US Coast Guard Station Curtis Bay
This Chain-of-Command photo board for the US Coast Guard Station Curtis Bay is carved from Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with acrylic covers, which can easily be changed-out. The officer names/ranks or positions are engraved in brass plates and slide into the name holders under the photos, and can be easily changed out. The title at the top is carved in raised relief . The USCG seal and the Base unit crest at the top are carved in 3-D raised relief and artist-brush painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This Command Board is clear-coated twice, and can be placed outside or inside. Plaques of this type are all custom designed and made with sizes ranging from 24 inches to 120 inches wide, depending on the number and sizes of photos , nameplates, and crests.
