Chain-of-Command Board for the US Navy Ship USS Harper's Ferry
This Chain-of-Command Board for the US Navy ship USS Harper's Ferry (LSD 49) is carved from California Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The text is raised and painted metallic brass with long-lasting sign enamels. The Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and Chief will have their photos mounted on the round black pedestals. The picture frames hold photos which can be easily changed out. The two pistol emblems are carved in 3-D bas-relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) and mounted on the plaque. The ships crest is carved in 2.5-D, with the center artwork digitally printed on a long-lasting giclee vinyl applique. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
