Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the United States Coast Guard, Sector Virginia
This Chain-of-Command Photo Board Department, made for the Coast Guard, Sector Virginia, is carved from High Density polyUrethane (HDU). After carving, it is hand sanded and painted in a dark Mahogany wood grain pattern, which has a lower price than real Mahogany wood. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with acrylic covers, which can easily be changed-out. The personnel position names are engraved on acrylic plates. The unit name at the top of the board is carved in raised relief and painted metallic brass. The unit crests in the middle of the board are carved from HDU in 2.5-D multi-level raised relief and artist-painted. This plaque is clear-coated twice .
