This is a memorial wall plaque  honoring Charles Darwin, 1809-1882. Charles Darwin is widely recognized as the "Father of the Theory of Evolution" , first documented in his famous book written in 1859  "On the Origin of Species". This memorial  plaque is carved from HDU in  2.5-D two-level relief. 

This plaque is representative of the memorial  and commemorative plaques we make for family members and dignitaries. It features  a high-resolution digitally-printed giclee vinyl photo mounted on a smooth area of the plaque elevated above the background, at the same level as the text and border. The text and border are painted light metallic bronze. The background is recessed and is sandblasted in a sandstone texture. It is  painted dark bronze or any other color of your choosing. The  plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against scratches and aging.  It is suitable for both inside and outside locations. Plaques of this type can be ordered in any size from 10 inches to 24 inches in width.

The Style Category for this plaque is Style 1.1.5 . A more expensive version of this plaque, Style Category 1.2.2,  has text and borders plated with real bronze metal, instead of being painted with metallic gold or metallic brass paint.
