WP5270 - New Mexico State University Dance Department Seal, 2.5-D Natural Cedar
This New Mexico State Dance Department plaque is carved in 2.5-D relief from Western Red Cedar. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained one or more times to get the specified color, which can range from light to very dark, depending upon which of the 24 Minwax color stains is used, or its natural wood color (no stain), as shown in this photo. After painting the art and text with 1-Shot black and red, the plaque is clear-coated twice with Matthews clear polyurethane acrylic .
