This 10 ft diameter HDU wall plaque of the Great Seal of the State of Maryland, is carved in 2.5-D multi-level relief This plaque and similar State government plaques are shown on our County Government plaques page.
This plaque is painted by our artists with light and dark gray sign enamels, and then airbrushed and hand-rubbed with a darker gray paint. The plaque is then coated twice with clear polyurethane acrylic . The plaque is shown in its open packing crate before the top face of the crate is installed. It will then be ready for shipping by ground freight. Because if its size, it cannot lie flat in a box truck but must be tilted supported by a 45 degree angle wood scaffold similar to that shown in Fig 3 and Fig 4 on this page,
