SA1313 - Mahogany Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the USS Tulsa (LCS-16), a Littoral Combat Ship
This Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the USS Tulsa (LCS-16), a littoral combat ship, is carved from Mahogany wood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in wood picture frames with glass covers, which can easily be changed-out. The officer names are engraved on brass plates are inserted into the sliders under each photo frame. The ship's crest is carved in 2.5-D multi-level raised relief, and artist-brush painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
