This is a carved Mahogany Command Board made for the US Coast Guard Cutter Bertholt. The two ship's crests are carved in 2.5-D multi-level-relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) , artist painted in several colors , and mounted on the top of the board. The name plates of the crew will be engraved with their name and rank/rating. . The entire board is clear-coated twice. This Command Board is suitable for both inside and outside locations, and will withstand maritime conditions. This and similar Ship and Base Command Boards can be ordered in any size from 24 inches to 60 inches wide.
