SA2244 - Carved Redwood Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the US Coast Guard Station Sacramento
Chain-of-Command Photo Board for the US Coast Guard Station Sacramento
This chain-of-command photo board for the US Coast Guard Station Sacramento is carved from Redwood. After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The officers have photos inserted into slide-in aluminum picture frames with acrylic covers. There are three 7 x 10 inch and seven 5 x 7 photo frames . Under each photo frame is a slide-in holder for an engraved brass plate with the officer's name and rank which can be easily changed along with the photo. The title and position text is carved raised and painted black. The base's crest is carved in 2,5-D multi-level relief and artist-painted using long-lasting sign enamels. This plaque is clear-coated twice to protect against the marine environment.
