Recognition Plaque the US Marine Corps "Sword of Office", Honoring Sergeant Majors of the Headquarters and Service Battalion, MARFORCOM NORTH
This recognition plaque is carved from Mahogany. It features the US Marine Corps "Sword of Office", which honors Sergeant Majors of the Headquarters and Service Battalion, MARFORCOM NORTH ( Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Northern Command). After carving, it is hand sanded and stained to get the required color. The names of the NCO's are engraved on brass plates. The Marine Corps MARFORCOM crest, with globe and anchor emblem and crossed swords, is carved in 3-D bas-relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) and mounted on the top of the plaque. Thus crest ,and the text are painted with long-lasting sign enamels. A sword holder (sword not shown) is mounted on the wood brackets below the crest.
