Award Photo Board for Afloat Training Group Pacific
This is carved photo board for outstanding sailors in the Afloat Training Group Pacific. Each year an outstanding sailor is selected in each of 4 subgroups (Middle Pacific, Pacific Northwest, San Diego, and Western Pacific). An exceptional sailor is also selected as Sailor of the Year for the overall Group.
The board is made of Western Red Cedar. The text is raised and painted black , and the group's five seals/crests are giclee printed on long-lasting sign vinyl and mounted on raised platforms, The bottom 5 x 7 inch photos and top 8 x 12 photo, which have the sailor's names printed on them at their bottom, are easily changed out in the aluminum photo frames by sliding an existing one out and a new one in . The small engraved Cedar plaque mounted on the upper right of the board shows the Sailor's Creed beginning with "I am a United States Sailor". This and similar photo boards can be ordered in any size from 30 inches to 96 inches wide.
