Cedar Wood Award Photo Board for the Sailor of the Year, USS Chosin, CG 65 Guided Missile Cruiser, US Navy
This is a custom carved award photo board for the Sailor of the Year for the USS Chosin, CG 65, US Navy. The board is made of High Density Urethane (HDU) painted to look like vertical grain western Red Cedar. The text is raised and painted brass and the ship's crest and horse head logo are carved in 2.5-D multi-level raised relief and artist-brush painted. The 8 x 10 inch photos of the sailors are easily changed out in the frames by sliding an existing photo out and a sliding new one in . Below each photo frame is a sliding holder where an engraved nameplate with the sailor's name and rating can be easily changed along with his / her photo. This and similar photo boards can be ordered in any size from 30 inches to 96 inches wide.
