Custom Family Crest-Style Coat of Arms Plaque in Painted HDU

This ornate family crest plaque is expertly crafted in 3-D from High-Density Urethane (HDU), featuring traditional heraldic elements and personalized symbolism. Painted in deep royal blue and antique gold, the crest includes a lion, horse, quill and book, and caduceus within a quadrant shield, all centered around a large stylized “S.” Atop the shield is a sculpted eagle with outstretched wings, while flanking labrador figures and scrollwork support the crest with banners reading “FAMILY,” “SERVICE,” and “MASTERY.” This piece combines classical formality with modern precision carving, ideal for display in homes, offices, or educational institutions.

This custom crest is ideal for commemorating family legacy, personal achievement, or institutional values. Clients often commission similar plaques for private estates, prep schools, universities, or foundations. Elements within the shield and supporting design can be fully customized to represent genealogy, academic honors, military history, or philosophical ideals.

The plaque is carved from exterior-grade HDU, a highly durable material that is moisture-resistant and dimensionally stable. Each element is sculpted in true 3-D relief and painted by hand using Matthews® polyurethane paints in a traditional metallic and heraldic palette. Multiple finishes (antique, gloss, satin) and background textures are available to suit the desired visual effect. Mounting hardware is installed on the reverse for immediate wall display indoors or under cover outdoors.
