WP5330 - Award Plaques, Engraved Stained Redwood
These award plaques for the "House of Cards" TV show are engraved Western Red Cedar. After carving it is hand sanded and stained one or more times to get the specified color, which can range from light to very dark, depending upon which of the 24 Minwax color stains is used, or its natural wood color (no stain). The engraved art and text are painted metallic gold, and the engraved brass plate is mounted at the bottom of each plaque. The plaque is clear-coated twice with Matthews clear polyurethane acrylic .
